Precision MRI-Based Assessment of Your Abdominal Fat Distribution

Why Understanding Your Fat Distribution Matters

Not all fat is created equal. Where you store fat is more important than how much you weigh.

Precision Imaging

MRI analysis at the L4-5 level provides the most accurate assessment of visceral and subcutaneous fat distribution—far superior to BMI or waist measurements alone.

Heart Health Insights

Visceral fat is directly linked to cardiovascular disease risk. Our analysis helps identify your risk level and provides actionable insights for improvement.

Metabolic Risk Assessment

Understand your risk for type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and other obesity-related conditions based on your unique fat distribution pattern.

Track Your Progress

Objective, quantifiable measurements allow you to monitor the effectiveness of your diet, exercise, and lifestyle interventions over time.

Evidence-Based

Our analysis uses validated methodologies published in peer-reviewed medical literature to ensure clinical accuracy and reliability.

Personalized Report

Receive a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report with visual representations and clear interpretations of your results.

Your Comprehensive Analysis Includes

A complete picture of your body composition and health risk factors

Visual Fat Distribution Maps

Color-coded MRI images showing visceral fat (red) and subcutaneous fat (yellow) at the L4-5 vertebral level.

Precise Measurements

Quantified visceral fat area, subcutaneous fat area, and visceral-to-subcutaneous ratio with pixel-level accuracy.

Anthropometric Data

Height, weight, calculated abdominal circumference, and other key body measurements.

BMI Analysis

Body Mass Index calculation with classification and clinical interpretation.

Waist-to-Height Ratio

A powerful predictor of cardiovascular risk, assessed and interpreted for your age and sex.

Cardiovascular Risk Assessment

Combined risk evaluation based on multiple metrics with clear clinical interpretation and recommendations.

The Science Behind Fat Distribution

Research has consistently shown that visceral adipose tissue (VAT)—fat stored deep in the abdomen around your organs—is far more metabolically active and dangerous than subcutaneous fat stored just beneath the skin.

Visceral fat releases inflammatory markers and free fatty acids directly into the portal circulation, contributing to insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and systemic inflammation. This is why two people with the same BMI can have vastly different health risks.

Key Insight: The visceral-to-subcutaneous fat ratio is a more accurate predictor of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and all-cause mortality than BMI or total body weight. MRI at the L4-5 level is the gold standard for assessing this critical metric.
