Self pay MRI with you in control

Do I need a doctor order?

No. We don't bill insurance or give IV contrast so it is not required.

Do I get a CD of the images?

Yes. You'll get a disc to give your doctor and a link for you to view the images online.

Will a doctor read my MRI?

Yes. Your MRI will be read by a board certified, fellowship trained radiologist.

When do I get the results?

Your report will be emailed to you and faxed to doctor in under 24 hrs or under 90 minutes if ordered STAT.

Is your MRI the same as others?

Yes. We use 1.5 Tesla high field Siemens MRI scanners, just like the hospital. We also have a true open MRI in Braselton.

Why are your prices so low compared to other centers?

We are owned by a doctor who is mission driven to make MRIs easy and affordable - not a hospital or venture capital firm that is greedy for maximum profits. Plus, we don't bill insurance which makes things easier.

MRI Scan

An MRI scan of the brain (i.e. head) can detect the causes of headaches, seizures, weakness, hearing loss, mental status change, and blurred vision. The eyes (orbits), internal auditory canals (IACs), and pituitary gland are included in a brain MRI, but they can be much better demonstrated if you add specialized thin images of these structures to your brain MRI.

The MRI scan will also evaluate the articular surfaces or osteochondral defects, injuries, arthritis, and the ligaments that keep the ankle stable. MRI of the foot can be centered over the back/heel area (hindfoot), the mid area (midfoot), or over the front to include the metatarsals and toes (forefoot). MRI of the foot can find infections, injuries, cysts, inflammation, and masses that may be causing symptoms.

Our MRI Machines

Since their creation, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines have made a large impact on the way we diagnose certain diseases and study internal organs. MRI scanners use powerful magnetic fields and radio waves to create incredible images, with no dangerous ionizing radiation like CAT scans and X-rays.

Open MRI Machine

Open MRI machines have top and bottom magnetic areas and do not enclose patients. The space between the two sides often alleviates any claustrophobia. Open MRI machines are used to accommodate claustrophobic, obese, and pediatric patients.

Wide Bore MRI Machine

Wide Bore MRI systems have a high magnet strength of 1.5 Tesla and produce high-quality imaging in a more comfortable, spacious environment. Wide Bore which is ideal for larger and claustrophobic patients.

Stat Results

Want to know sooner or require urgent results? Stat results are available in under 90 minutes for an additional $50.

We also provide a phone consultation service that allows you to discuss the findings of your MRI with an experienced radiologist for an additional $150.

 

MRI Cancer Screening Examinations

MRI health screening examinations of the head, neck, chest, body, pelvis, spine, and arteries (MRAs) are also available to give you peace of mind. Along with annual physicals, colonoscopies, and mammograms, MRI screenings can help you locate and resolve problems early on.

Unlike CT and X-ray scans, MRI scans emit no radiation, so they are a safe and powerful screening tool to find problems before they become symptomatic. Early diagnosis may make the difference between curable and incurable diseases.
